The generations
AH30 (2015 to 2023)
The AH30 is the Alphard most Malaysians know. The facelift (from 2018) added Toyota Safety Sense, sequential indicators and a bigger grille. For recond buyers in 2026, the sweet spot is a 2021 to 2023 facelift 2.5, still young enough for a 9-year loan.
AH40 (2023 onward)
The new generation has a stiffer body, a much better ride and a more luxurious cabin. It is also far more expensive, and supply of recond units is limited.
